DMC x Imaginary Dancescape

All bodies welcome and no background in movement necessary- it's for everyone who is curious and willing to play! 

Dance-Move-Connect, or DMC, is a physical exploration space rooted in contemporary dance, improvisation, and somatic practices. Dance artist Inbar Elkayam invites participants to reconnect with their body, sharpen their spatial awareness, and expand their movement vocabulary. Through guided improvisation, dancers explore concepts such as direction, rhythm, and pathways, using these to deepen their understanding of how movement arises from internal and external impulses.

Imaginary Dancescape is an open dance format that explores the spectrum of danceable music and is aimed at people interested in dance, regardless of age or ability. Musician and sound artist Benjamin Pogonatos plays live improvised music and invites you to dance, experiment, linger, and listen. Various musical instruments and everyday objects are electronically altered as sound sources and woven into a dense dancescape. This creates a soundscape that fills the empty space with imaginary landscapes.
